Welcome to the online home of Cub Scout Pack 458 in Antioch, CA.

Join Us!!

Though we are associated with the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, we welcome all first through fifth grade boys to join our ranks.  Our average pack size is between 40 and 60 boys each year, made up of dens between 5 and 12 boys in size.  The scouting year is from September through June each year, but we also do many fun and exciting summertime activities and we encourage new boys to join before the beginning of the year to enjoy some of these great outings.

For information on membership and all that Scouting has to offer your boy, please email us using the Contact Form on the left of this page and be sure to visit the Boy Scouts of America web site at http://www.scouting.org.

Welcome to our Pack Families!!

Welcome Cub Scout Families!  Please note that access requires an active email address. Please be sure we have one on file for you. You can also use the Contact Us link to the left and contact the webmaster to send us your current email address.  You can also use this function to request a new user name and password.

Please check the upcoming events on the right hand side to see what our Pack will be doing this month.  The calendar is another great resource.  Please check the calendar frequently and be sure to put upcoming events on your personal calendar.

The Pack Leadership is always looking for parent volunteers to help with activities and events and is truly grateful for all assistance that can be given.  This year we ask that each family sign up to volunteer for one event.  Just as the "Cub Scouts help the pack go" (part of the Laws of the Pack), so do parents.  We need your help to make this year and all our events a success.  If you haven't signed up for an event, please talk to us at the next Pack meeting.  We are happy to help you find a fun way to participate and help the Pack.

Again, welcome to our Scouting Family.

In 1988, the Boy Scouts of America launched the national "Good Turn," known as Scouting for Food.

It was part of a campaign that targeted what the Scouts called the five "unacceptables' in society:

Mt. Diablo Silverado Council has opened registration for L.E.A.D. training for 2016.

It will be on Saturday, January 30, 2016 and is a great opportunity and resource for parents, volunteers and registered adult leaders to gain new knowledge, skills and expertise in Scouting while meeting other Scouting parents and Leaders in a fun environment on the campus of DVC in Pleasant Hill. Breakfast and lunch are served and you choose the program you would like to explore, from Leader-specific training to specific areas like knot-tying and Pinewood Derbies. The early registration cost is only $45 before January 4th, $55 thereafter.

Overnight Camping Trip to Samuel P. Taylor State Park

Posted on Jul 31 2015 - 10:20pm

A big thank you to all who participated in the overnight camping trip at Samuel P. Taylor State Park in Marin County.

We had a great time and the Cub Scouts had a great opportunity to hike through beautiful wooded areas as well as learn and practice compass skills, knot-tying and performing skits for the Pack! And, of course, we had great food and s'mores!
